Although we use high-quality metals, it is typical for gold and silver jewellery to react with chemicals that can cause the jewellery to tarnish. Tarnish is most commonly seen due to the reaction the jewel has with your skin’s acidity, particular creams/lotions, storage conditions or contact with water. However, cleaning and storing your ornament correctly will help to minimise this.
01. Avoid wearing your jewellery when completing activities such as cleaning, gardening, swimming and showering.
02. Apply your cosmetics, moisturisers and hair products before adding your jewellery with clean hands.
03. Do not spray perfume directly onto or around your jewellery.
04. Avoid impact with hard surfaces, including other items of jewellery. Keeping your jewellery away from rough surfaces will protect against scratching and chipping.
05. Please note that all metals oxidise naturally with time and will require maintenance.
All our items are suitable for everyday wear, however, due to its natural fineness, extra care and attention is required to maintain its prime condition.
Store your item in a moisture-free room, the box or pouch provided. Moisture and humidity can cause oxidisation and tarnishing, so please avoid storing your jewellery in the bathroom and keep your jewellery away from all sources of heat.
Gold Jewellery Instructions
To clean your gold jewellery, wash it gently with warm, soapy water. Allow to dry and then buff with a gold polishing cloth.
Tip: Gently brush with a soft toothbrush to remove any embedded dirt. However, be careful not to disrupt any loose stones, if present.
Sterling Silver Jewellery Instructions
Sterling silver will tarnish over time. It is natural for Silver to react negatively to moisture and chemicals in the air such as sulphur (in the same way it can respond to perfumes and lotions on our skin).
Silver jewellery remains at its shiny best when worn daily or kept in a dry, air-tight box or bag. To clean any tarnishing, polish with your silver cloth to regain a silver finish.
Tip: Regular use of a silver cloth removes light tarnish and inhibits re-tarnishing, prolonging the original sparkle of your silver.
Gemstones are delicate and will chip or shatter on impact with hard surfaces. Please take care when handling and storing.
Be aware that stones that break due to mishandling will not be considered as faulty.
Do not use any natural cleaning methods on jewellery containing gemstones, and the heat may cause them to crack or change colour.
Jewellery featuring set diamonds or precious stones should be cleaned every month or so to rid of any fine dirt particles.
We hand select each stone used in our jewellery. We don't use synthetic, dyed, or heated stones. Stones are all sourced ethically and conflict-free.
Please be aware that the colour and clarity of the stone in our jewellery may vary from our online representation. In saying that, despite the colour difference, the grade is all the same.
